Data Retention

This site stores the email address, riding, and message of users who send messages to their candidates. All data will be deleted at the end of the 2022 Ontario Provincial Election. 

 

Although users submit postal codes, we do not record the entire postal code. We record the first three characters of the postal code, since that shows rough region the request came from. 

 

If a user checks the “Keep me informed” checkbox on the form, their email address will be kept by More Neighbours after the election date. We will not keep any other identifying information after the election is complete. 

 

Emails

Users will be emailed by More Neighbours if:

1. they submit the form,
2. they check the “Keep me informed” checkbox on the form, 
3. or a new candidate is found in their area.
